It infuriates me that people when driving on a dual carriageway don’t know that they should keep to the left lane unless they are passing. Canadian High Commissioner visits
(CNS Local Life): Laurie Peters, the High Commissioner of Canada who is stationed in Jamaica, met with top Cayman government officials during her two-day visit last week (6 and 7 February). One day one, which was her first official stop in Cayman, she met Deputy Premier Moses Kirkconnell and Attorney General Samuel Bulgin.
Women in science recognised
(CNS Local Life): The Gender Affairs Unit of the Cayman Islands Government is marking the fourth annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science today (11 February). The observance was made official by a resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2015.
Speakers set for youth mental health forum
(CNS Local Life): The Alex Panton Foundation, which is organising its second annual Youth Mental Health Symposium, set for Saturday, 23 February, has announced the line-up of speakers, who will be discussing a shared vision for Cayman’s children and young adults dealing with mental health issues, under the theme “Addressing Our Past, Supporting Our Future”.
