Miss Cayman Islands Universe contestants named
(CNS Local Life): The Miss Cayman Islands Universe annual pageant has been set for Saturday, 17 August, with six contestants vying for the crown to compete at the international competition, which will be taking place either December this year or in January 2020. The sashing event for the contestants is scheduled for Friday, 19 July.
“We are very excited to launch this year’s events and to give the contestants an opportunity to show our community the incredible Caymankind ambassadors they can be,” said Derri Dacres, committee chairperson, in a press release.
The six contestants are: Mahalia Seymour, Samantha Dixon, Aleka Beckford, Francine Wright, Mariah Tibbetts and Kadejah Bodden.
The public is invited to see the woman get their sashes, with the event kicking off at 5:30pm at Grand Old House. The annual motorcade will take place Saturday, 10 August.
The Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant is being held at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
