Will people in NWDA system have to register with WORC?

| 01/09/2019

Will Caymanians who have already registered with the National Workforce Development Agency have to re-register with Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman?

Ask Auntie, CNS Local Life, Caymanian status

Auntie’s answer: Yes, people previously registered with NWDA will have to do so again at WORC but not quite yet. A WORC official explained that re-registration is required “due to the forming of a new entity and creation of a database”. However, the new system for the public to access is not up and running yet, and it is not yet known when this will happen.

Once it is good to go, WORC will be asking people to log on to re-register their data. The official added, “The system will be extremely user friendly and registration should take only a few minutes.”

I have been informed direct from WORC the log on details you have with NWDA will be the same and there is no need to re register.

Of course we’ll have to re-register. It wouldn’t be government if we didn’t. We should all know by now that it’s Government’s job to make life as difficult as possible for the private sector!!

Re-registering is difficult? If you’re a jobseeker and you’re complaining about this then God forbid you become employed and have to carry out tasks at work!
