Overstayer amnesty
Given the uncertainty in coordinating air-bridge and evacuation flights, an amnesty has been implemented with immediate effect against prosecution of people for overstaying, and will remain in effect until further notice.
CIFS reminds public of bonfire safety
The Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) is reminding the public how to stay safe if having a backyard bonfire, following increased reports in recent weeks. CIFS believes the increase has been driven by current measures in place to suppress the spread of COVID-19.
Liquor licensees with restaurant licence not permitted to deliver liquor with food
The Liquor Licensing Boards of the Cayman Islands advise licensees with a restaurant licence that they are not permitted to do deliveries with food. Liquor licence holders are further advised that deliveries are only permitted under certain categories of licences of the Liquor Licensing Law with approval of the Liquor Licensing Board.
