Why cant Cayman, in the day and age, provide an accurate weather forecast??? Miami can pin point to the minute of the day what the weather will be like, why cant Cayman????
Are there any public dog walking parks in Cayman, i live on South Sound, but the lack of shoulder on the road makes it quite dangerous to walk dogs on there, seeing as government have installed a walking track on the field next to Truman Bodden and on BT primary field could this not be something that someone may want to propose?

How can CNS justify the ads it has along the side of the headline news page? “most powerful deathspell..whatsapp this number” and “mostpowerfull love spell..whatsapp this number…”.
Those ads prey on the least educated and least able of our society to detect such a scam and frankly a reasonable news agency should be ashamed to take money from such scammers as it is basically taking that money from those in Cayman that can least afford to lose their money.

CNS: What you saw was spam posted on the free classifieds site, FreeCayAds, which appears on the news site via RSS feed. Of course we didn’t take any money for them (it’s a free service and we don’t promote that crap) and they were deleted as soon as I saw them. Spam is a constant plague of all websites where people have any kind of access. I have been looking for a solution that doesn’t require moderating the classified ads before they are posted (I had one but it’s no longer working) but they are insidious and I may have to do that.
Why is the flyboard operator allowed to put a sign on the public area of the beach in front of the meridian right near the water? The fly board itself s very loud and I can only imagine how annoying the live marketing and lessons in front of these luxe condos (meridian, waters edge, etc) must be. Tacky tacky. Hemingway’s also puts advertising right near the water for their gelato. What gives?
Last weekend, traffic in GT was paralysed as a result of a section of ETH being closed for HOURS with no police directing traffic at key points, no information on cellphones, etc. What if something like this happens again, have the police got a plan?

I came through the new Arrivals hall at the airport. I was quite disappointed to see the exact same number of Immigration windows and then the exact same number of Customs desks as the old Arrivals hall . Doesn’t this mean that we will have the exact same bottlenecks but now just in a new room?

How come you are not afraid to overturn the applecart?
I note on the Blue Spot Facebook page that a police car was photographed in a disabled spot, whilst the two officers went to get their breakfast from Fosters (https://www.facebook.com/The-Blue-Spot-493741520681834/). This seems to be the 4th or 5th time this has been caught on camera, let alone not caught. Why should we obey the spots if the police don’t….there must be an example made at some point. They have the police car, so must know the officers involved. Please name and shame if the police won’t take action.
CNS , I read Auntie answer back in late December 2016 , that the land purchase of the a joining property to Smith Cove would be finalized on January 22nd 2017.
I have not heard or read anymore about that . Can you please give us an update.

Why do the opinion buttons work on Ask Auntie and Business but not on the main news stories?
CNS Editor: I’ll answer this rather than Auntie. The plugin for the like/dislike ratings, which was adapted to include the troll/LOL buttons was causing the main site to crash, so it was deactivated while the IT guys fix it or create a new plugin. Yesterday, the plugin was causing the left hand side widget column on CNS Business to disappear, so it was deactivated on that site also. Don’t ask me why because I have no idea. So far it seems to be working OK on CNS Local Life but that could change. We will get them back on all sites eventually.
I thought the theme was ‘Ask Auntie …… anything ……’ so why’s she ignoring my question regarding CHIP and PIN credit cards ? …. Never mind, I’ll go elsewhere and since we can’t ‘Ask Auntie …..anything’ I’ll go ask Uncle.
CNS: Auntie is working on this question. But let us know what Uncle has to say on the matter.
So far, Uncle CNB says they are working on CHIP & PIN technology but I guess by the time they get ready to roll them out…that technology will be outdated in favour of the new SCAN method already starting to be used in Europe….not sure about the States……

When will the police start enforcing the 25 mph speed limit on the ‘old’ West Bay Road?
I was doing around 25 mph this morning when a bus came up behind my car and stayed way too close before overtaking (illegal I believe?) & after giving me the finger (yes that’s CaymanKind for you) rushed ahead at speed for a while before swerving into the kerb (presumably to drop a passenger).
I’m Caymanian & have driven here for more than 25 years. Some bus drivers & taxi drivers need to be ticketed for their appalling driving. Some should not be on the road, let alone carrying passengers.
Yes I have the license plate number of the bus.

I hope YOU and CNS reporters can help find out what is going on with FLOW/LIME and post a new item to let frustrating readers know what the heck is going on!
As of this morning, Thursday, April 7, ourcandw.ky e-mail and FLOW webmail have been inaccessible since 4 pm Thursday. As you can imagine, this is crippling for small businesses and has cut off important communications in many other ways.
In spite of those promises by the CEO Bill McCabe when he announced this last rebranding, customer service/ tech support is worse than ever,. All calls to FLOW’s 811 number are outsourced to ignorant and unintelligible agents in El Salvador. They have told me during my repeated calls, any of the following : there is no problem, reset your modem; there is no problem, it’s your computer files corrupted; your e-mail isn’t working because we your account has been cancelled,” and other stupid responses. However, when I said that the error message in my outlook e-mail says “e-mail server cannot be found or may be down temporarily..” doesn’t that indicate a system wide problem?” they had no answer.
I finally got through to a human at FLOW in Grand Cayman who admitted they are aware of a problem and are working on it but could provide no further information. It’s bad enough that we have to pay $79 a month for broadband service that is much slower than the advertised speed (isn’t that fraud?) but this latest problem, and FLOW’ refusal to acknowledge such a serious system wide problem and inform the public, is inexcusable.
I have to ask you to do their work for them, but if you can help find out what is going on, it would be really appreciated! There must be others out there like me who are furious.

Having been directed by them to the Eastern Avenue location, I went there on Saturday. The sign said their opening hours on saturdays were from 9.00 but at 10 am they were still closed!! Seriously?!!
Why does Tropical Gardens get so much prominence on the island? The place is properly signposted and also appears on maps. We had guests recently who were very excited to visit the much advertised Tropical Gardens only to turn up disappointed once they realised it’s just a road with some houses on it. What’s the history and what’s the rationale behind it being so well promoted?
When will the Cayman CAA do something about the unrestricted helicopter tourist flights cruising up and down 7 Mile Beach? Surely, they can be vectored out over the water where the noise will be less intrusive?
