RCIPS 2018 recruitment drive begins
(CNS Local Life): The RCIPS launched its annual local recruitment drive Monday, 23 July, targeting Caymanians and permanent residents aged 18-40 who have no restrictions to work. While applications are accepted throughout the year, the RCIPS will be intensifying its efforts through Friday, 10 August, to prepare for the second recruit class of 2018.
Central GT roads get safety makeover
(CNS Local Life): A partnership between the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) and the National Roads Authority (NRA) to enhance public safety has improved road markings and traffic signs on the waterfront and in central George Town. Auxiliary Constable Fabian O’Connor (aka the “Dancing Policeman”) has been the driving force on the project.

Emergency exercise conducted at Brac airport
(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) led an emergency preparedness exercise at the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport on Cayman Brac last week. The simulated emergency comprised a rapidly unfolding terrorist situation involving two vicious thugs, the hijacking of a small commercial flight, shootouts, fatalities and more than 12 people taken as hostages.

Officer leads disabled parking sign campaign
