Veteran pins governor with first poppy
(CNS Local Life): The annual Poppy Appeal kicked off Monday, 10 October when Governor Helen Kilpatrick met with members of the Cayman Islands Veterans Association. Golf fundraiser scores for the Red Cross
(CNS Local Life): RBC Royal Bank continued its 19-year partnership with the Cayman Islands Red Cross (CIRC) during their recent fundraising golf tournament. This year’s event featured the Canadian Olympian Jamie Broder and raised more than $50,000 for the charity. Prospect team wins CERT competition
(CNS Local Life): The Prospect Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) took home the Chairman’s Challenge Cup in the second annual CERT Challenge, which was held at the Agriculture Grounds on Saturday, 17 September. Deputy Governor Franz Manderson, who is chairman of the National Hazard Management Council, presented the cup to the winning team.
