Lions mix fun and education for children with diabetes

Runners step up for Special Needs Foundation

Food drive launched ahead of Christmas
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Ministry and Department of Tourism launched a Christmas food drive at the Government Administration Building (GAB), encouraging civil servants to donate non-perishable food items to stock the Elmslie Memorial United Church’s pantry. Airports Authority staff support poppy appeal
(CNS): Staff members from the Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) decided to do their part to give back to the veterans, with chief security officer Shane Bothwell, who is also a vet, dressing in his army uniform on Friday, 6 November, to pass out poppies to the airport staff.
‘Tis the season for Pink Ladies Christmas fundraiser
(CNS): The Pink Ladies Annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar will be taking place Saturday, 28 November, from 2pm-5pm at the ARC in Camana Bay. The popular family event will include booths selling handmade crafts, homemade jams and cakes, and plants, plus a raffle and silent auction.
Grant aids Crisis Centre’s violence-prevention programme
(CNS): The Estella Scott-Roberts Foundation (ESRF) has awarded its 2015 grant for CI$10,000 to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC). This marks the second year for the ESRF grant programme, whose objective is to fund projects that contribute to achieving the foundation’s vision of ‘gender equality and a life free of violence for all’.
