Botanic Park celebrates mangoes
(CNS Local Life): The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park held its first annual mango fair on Saturday, 1 July, aimed at expanding the existing yearly tree sale to create a new family-oriented community event. The day was a celebration of mango season, community spirit and the various products that can be made from that fruit.

Cayman gets new Miss Teen after three-year wait
(CNS): Liana DaCosta has been crowned Miss Teen Cayman Islands for 2016, at a pageant held Saturday, 27 August at the Lions Centre. The 16-year-old from Bodden Town also took home the awards for academic excellence, Miss Photogenic and best in gown. The contest returned after a three-year hiatus, with seven young women taking part.

National Museum hosts tasty celebration
(CNS): The Cayman Islands National Museum is celebrating all things mango Saturday, 16 July, from 3pm-8pm. The first annual Mango Season at the Museum is free and open to the public. Among the attractions are food and mango products, a mango peeling and eating competition, music by local artists, and arts and crafts for children.
