Nominations open for Proud of Them awards
(CNS Local Life): Nominations are being sought through 7 December from the public to recognise excellence among young people in the Cayman Islands for the Proud of Them award scheme. Young people from age 10-25 who are reaching new heights of achievement in academics, sports, their career, culture, business or community service can be nominated.
Guest speaker inspires Frances Bodden residents

Kids learn about cricket this summer
(CNS Local Life): Cayman Cricket last month ran a week-long camp enabling young people to participate in a number of cricket and sport-related activities. Along with hosting its own camp, the organisation has also taken the sport on the road, and integrated cricket into other multi-sport camp schedules in the Cayman Islands.
Proud of Them recipients celebrated
(CNS Local Life): The Ministry of Education and the National Youth Commission recently feted 12 young Caymanians named under the Proud of Them, youth-recognition initiative. The round nine recipients hail from Stake Bay in Cayman Brac, George Town, and Bodden Town and range from 11 to 21 years old.
