Canadian High Commissioner visits
(CNS Local Life): Laurie Peters, the High Commissioner of Canada who is stationed in Jamaica, met with top Cayman government officials during her two-day visit last week (6 and 7 February). Cayman’s first governor turns 100
(CNS Local Life): Governor Martyn Roper was one of the guests at the Pines Retirement Home who this week helped celebrate the 100th birthday of Cayman’s first governor, Athel Long. In both a tweet and Facebook post on 2 January, Roper congratulated Long and said he was honoured to take part.
