(CNS Local Life): The Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS) has added four lecturers to its staff: Marc Johnson, Kerry Lewis, Andrew Perkins and Derek O’Brien, who all bring with them teaching and professional experience from the UK, coming to Cayman from Bristol, Wales, London and Oxford, respectively.
Law school lecturer named to academic journal
(CNS Local Life): Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS) LLM course leader Laura Panades has been appointed country correspondent for the Cayman Islands for a leading academic journal. The European Procurement & Public-Private Partnerships Law Review (EPPPL) is a top-ranked academic journal, “highly commended for the quality of its publications”, stated a TBLS press release.
Deadline nears for law school courses
(CNS Local Life): The deadline is approaching to apply to two postgraduate programmes in international finance at Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS). Students have until 31 August to submit applications for the LLM in International Finance: Law and Regulation and the postgraduate diploma in International Finance: Law and Regulation, both of which start in September.
Law school founding director dies
(CNS Local Life): Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS) founding director Peter Rowe died 2 June 2018. Rowe accepted the role of director when invited to assist in establishing the school, originally known as the Cayman Islands Law School, by then-Minister of Education Truman Bodden.
Law school moot team competes in Vienna
(CNS Local Life): The moot team from the Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS) has recently competed in the 25th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. Second-year students Aliana Dodds, Oneka Thompson and Romina Kape took part, accompanied by their coach, Andrew Woodcock.

(CNS): The Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS) was one of eight schools from the Caribbean and the US to attend a recent Caribbean Law Clinic. Third-year student Matthew Yassa represented TBLS at the four-day event, which ended 15 November and was hosted by the Charlotte School of Law in the US.
