Why has the beach access between Regal Beach Club and Laguna Del Mar been boarded up for months now?

Auntie’s answer: While I cannot give you an answer as to why the access had been blocked, I can report some good news. I contacted the Department of Planning and a compliance officer was sent out to investigate your complaint last week.

The next day I not only received a report that as of Friday, 20 July, the beach access was open and available for the public to use, but I also was sent a photo confirming this news, which you can see below.

CNS Local LifeWhen so many times it seems we are hearing about the slow turning of civil service wheels, I want to acknowledge the Department of Planning for acting so quickly.

If anyone comes upon another spot where beach access has been blocked, please write in to let me know.

I believe a very big pile of sand is also blocking access along the access path in South Sound by the Church and fancy home there. Why? How?

    Thank you Auntie.

Kudos, to the Department of Planning and to you Auntie…It seems like the owners of Regal Beach and Laguna Del Mar felt even after all of the negative news about beach access in the press lately that they still had a right to board up this access way..

The question now is how long will it be until they board it up again?
