(CNS Local Life): Organisers are encouraging the public to help “Stuff the Bus” before the campaign ends Saturday, 18 August. The annual initiative to collect school supplies for children in need has been spearheaded by Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company and media partner Z99. Coordinators will be bundling the supplies and delivering them to students before school starts on 27 August.

The drive benefits hundreds of students between the ages of 6 and 16 who are from families in need, stated a press release. All donations will be delivered to the Department of Children and Families, Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, Family Resource Centre, Frances Bodden Children’s Home, Bonaventure Boys Home and Department of Education in Cayman Brac for direct distribution to those who need them most.

Anyone who wishes to purchase and donate supplies can still drop them off at boxes located at Buy Smart, Foster’s Food Fair in Countryside, Cost-U-Less, Hurley’s Media Group office in Camana Bay or the Caribbean Alliance office at 203 Alissta Towers.
