Modified garbage collection services for Easter

| 17/04/2019

The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) advises the public that there will be no garbage collection on Good Friday, 19 April 2019. The department will also close all its offices as well as landfills in Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman to the public at that time. The 24-hour drop off site at the entrance of the George Town Landfill will, however, remain open to facilitate the disposal of small quantities of household waste.

Collections will resume in previously uncollected areas, and landfills will reopen, on Saturday, 20 April 2019. All DEH offices will reopen for regular business at 8:30 am on Tuesday 23 April 2019.

The DEH urges residents to adequately secure garbage in anticipation for this slight delay in collection services.

To ascertain your scheduled collection day or learn more about the 24-hour drop off site, please visit DEH website at www.deh.gov.ky.
