The Big Shave date announced
The 7th annual BIG SHAVE will take place on Friday, 20 September, at Cricket Square. Please save the date as we unite to conquer childhood cancer.
Thanks to you and the Cayman community, over the past six years we’ve raised over US$2 million for St Baldrick’s to fund the most promising childhood cancer research worldwide. Hannah’s Heroes have funded nine separate research grants at some of the most prestigious research institutes across the US, where researchers are working on life changing treatments and cures.
In
the last 40 years, only five chemo/gene therapy drugs have been approved by the
FDA specifically for childhood cancer, compared to hundreds of drugs approved
for adult cancers. What’s more, nearly all of the chemo drugs still used on
children were developed in the 1970s.
You can get involved in several ways:
● REGISTER to shave NOW and start growing your hair
● ORGANISE a dress down day
or a bake sale at work
● DONATE, if shaving’s not for you – every dollar
makes a difference.
