Names sought for Queen’s birthday honours
(CNS Local Life): Governor Martyn Roper is calling on the public to nominate people to receive the Cayman Islands Certificate and Badge of Honour, though these can be made all year round. Recommendations for this award are considered locally and successful nominees will normally be recognised at the Queen’s birthday celebrations in June.
Details of how to prepare honours nominations and the form to submit can be found at the UK government website, a press release explained.
Once completed, the forms should be submitted to the Governor’s Office. Roper will review all nominations before recommending candidates to the Royal, Ceremonial and Honours Unit in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
While all recommendations will be acknowledged, the Governor’s Office cannot discuss any action taken on them, the release said.
