Event to celebrate Cayman’s sharks
(CNS): Marine Conservation International (MCI) and the Department of Environment (DoE) are holding “SharKY Fest” on 4 June 2016 at Dive Tech at Lighthouse Point, West Bay from 12pm to 5pm. The event is being organised to promote shark conservation and raise awareness about the new law concerning shark protection in the Cayman Islands.
CCMI makes waves with coral research
(CNS): The Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) recently presented their findings on Cayman’s marine ecosystems at the 45th Benthic Ecology Meeting in Portland, Maine. From 16-19 March, the annual conference welcomed more than 400 top marine ecologists and benthic researchers from a variety of fields.
