Plans bloom for annual flower show

(CNS Local Life): The Garden Club of Grand Cayman, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, will be holding is 53rd annual flower show at the South Sound Community Centre on South Church Street from 31 March-1 April. A preview reception has been planned for the opening evening with details for the invitation-only event to be released closer to the time.

“It is going to be a wonderful event, celebrating the beauty of flowers and plants from our island, ” said Lora Freifeld, co-chair of the flower show committee, which is organising the event.

The Garden Club have been presenting flower shows to the public since 1961. This year’s show will cater for a wide variety of enthusiasts with categories including horticulture and exhibits tailored for younger gardeners.
