The annual DG’s 5K Challenge is taking place this Sunday, 29 September. In order to facilitate this event, Elgin Avenue, between Hospital Road and the former Humber Lane, will be closed from 6:00pm on Saturday, 28 September, until 12:00pm on Sunday, 29 September.
The event begins at 6:00am in front of the Government Administration Building and participants will travel east along Elgin Avenue, turn south onto Huldah Avenue, then west onto Smith Road, travel south along Walkers Road, west onto Melmac Drive, then north along South Church Street and Harbour Drive, before turning east onto Fort Street, south on Edward Street, and returning to the GAB via Elgin Avenue. The event is expected to finish by 9:30am.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in these areas on Sunday morning.
