WORC office closure
Due to the weather expected from Tropical Storm Delta later this evening, the offices of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) located at Apollo House West closed early today as a safety measure for our staff and customers.
Postal office closures for tropical storm
All post offices closed at 11am this morning, Monday, 5 October, and remain closed until the All Clear is issued for Tropical Storm Delta.
Judicial Administration bulletin
On Monday, 5 October, Judicial Administration will be operating reduced hours from 9am to 1pm including the Summary Court and Grand Court. All jurors currently attending the ongoing Grand Court trial are to report to court on Monday as scheduled, however, the trial will adjourn at 1pm.
CAL makes operational changes due to TS Delta
As the Cayman Islands is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning due to the projected path of Tropical Storm Delta, Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) has made the following changes to its operations for Monday and Tuesday, October 5th & 6th, 2020:
Older Persons Month Walkabout and Movie Night postponed
Due to the Tropical Storm Warning issued today for the Cayman Islands, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is postponing both its Monday, 5 October – Cayman Brac Walkabout and the Tuesday, 6 October – Bodden Town Movie Night. These Older Persons Month activities will be rescheduled.
DCI Grand Cayman to close at noon
The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) advises the public that the business licensing counter and the Grand Cayman Office will close to the public today, Monday, October 5, at noon and Tuesday, October 6 due to the Tropical Storm Warning issued for the Cayman Islands.
Cayman Turtle Centre prepares for TS Delta
In view of the Tropical Storm Warning issued for the Cayman Islands, preparations are underway at Cayman Turtle Centre to ensure that all visitors, staff and animals remain safe. The Centre is closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday.
Health City Tropical Storm Delta bulletin
Ahead of tropical storm conditions anticipated to impact Grand Cayman beginning in the late afternoon of Monday (October 5) and continuing through Tuesday (October 6), Health City Cayman Islands will suspend all elective activities after 12:00 PM on Monday (October 5) including outpatient appointments, diagnostic services and elective surgeries until after the storm passes.
Customs and Border Control office closures
In preparation for the onset of Tropical Storm conditions later today, the Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) has announced that its Customer Service Counters and Customer Service Operations will close to the public at 12noon today.
National attractions closed
The Cayman Islands Tourism Attraction Board (TAB) is announcing it will temporarily close the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and Pedro St. James National Historic Site in preparation for the onset of Tropical Storm conditions later today. The TAB expects the attractions to resume normal operations on Wednesday 7th October.
DVDL offices closed
The Department of Vehicle and Driver’s Licensing advises the public that all its office locations will be closed today, Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6, due to the impending approach of the severe weather system. Persons booked for written for road and written tests will be contacted to reschedule dates.

PWD office to closed to public
Due to the Tropical Storm Warning issued for the Cayman Islands, the Public Works Department (PWD) Office will close to the public today, (Monday, October 5) at noon. Members of staff will be working remotely and can be contacted at 916-6694 or via email at PWDHelpDesk@gov.ky for assistance.
Post office extended hours, reopenings updated
The Postal Service states that as of Monday 24, August, the Seven Mile Beach Post Office and Philatelic Bureau have reopened with timings as follows until further notice: Mondays – Thursdays 9am – 4pm and Fridays: 9am – 4:30pm.
