Men’s Day film premieres to full house
(CNS Local Life): Cayman indie docu-film, Men’s Voice, attracted a standing room only audience when it premiered on International Men’s Day, 19 November. The 15-minute short, produced by local filmmaker Freddie Diaz, was commissioned by the Family Resource Centre to highlight men’s issues on the day of the United Nations observance.
Caymanian filmmaker wins award
(CNS Local Life): Caymanian entertainer and filmmaker Teri Quappe has won an award at the recent Cutting Edge Film Festival of Pompano Beach, Florida. Her short, Interloper, was named the winner in the category of Best Experimental Short Film, in which there were 22 entrants, out of the more than 150 films screened.

(CNS Local Life): Weeks after announcing that the 2018 CayFilm Cayman International Film Festival was cancelled, festival director Tony Mark has confirmed that the show will go on (again), albeit on a smaller scale.
