Recruitment training for health ministry
(CNS Local Life): Senior managers and human resources (HR) staff from the Ministry of Health recently attended a two-day training session to enhance their recruitment skills. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional Susan White, a former executive at global financial services firm JP Morgan Chase, led the sessions for the 20 staff.
NWDA partners on finance internships
(CNS Local Life): The National Workforce Development Agency (NWDA) has partnered with global advisory and administration firm Maitland, to offer Caymanians professional job training. The new internship will offer a six-month opportunity for two Caymanians to work as middle office specialists, a position suitable for applicants interested in fund administration.
Training is a SNAP for local educators
(CNS Local Life): A full day of Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) training was given to 25 educators from government schools at the Family Resource Centre (FRC) on Thursday, 18 October. In addition, two half-day SNAP sessions for 50 more teaching staff were held the following two days.

(CNS Local Life): As part of an ongoing initiative to maintain a skilled workforce, Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC) has partnered with Fortis Alberta to launch a new apprentice programme. Four CUC employees are being given the opportunity to receive specialised training as power line technicians at the Fortis Employee Development Center in Alberta, Canada.
