Students reimagine favourite books
(CNS Local Life): Almost 200 people attended the annual Storyboard Competition at the George Town Public Library on Saturday, 23 February, representing a record audience for the event. The competition gives Cayman’s young readers a chance to show off their creativity by sharing their favourite books through a storyboard display.
Young readers turn favourite books into art
(CNS Local Life): The seventh annual storyboard competition is now open, with Cayman’s younger readers encouraged to share their favourite books through displays they create. Library bringing books on the road
(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Islands Public Library Service (CIPLS) is bringing books to those residents who would otherwise have difficulty getting to a library. The service’s bookmobile will carry reading materials to individual seniors, residents of retirement homes, and other adult populations with limited mobility.
LIFE adds more books to classroom libraries
(CNS Local Life): The Literacy is for Everyone (LIFE) charity recently donated a record-breaking more than 4,300 books to Sir John A. Cumber Primary School (SJACPS), exceeding by about 800 last year’s total of reading materials given to the school. LIFE organised the donation, with the books collected from various private firms and schools islandwide.
