Young Caymanians join public sector

Recruitment training for health ministry
(CNS Local Life): Senior managers and human resources (HR) staff from the Ministry of Health recently attended a two-day training session to enhance their recruitment skills. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional Susan White, a former executive at global financial services firm JP Morgan Chase, led the sessions for the 20 staff.
Health ministry staff support YMCA
(CNS Local Life): A dozen staff from the Ministry of Health spent time volunteering at Bodden Town Primary School last month. Their aim was to support and help raise awareness for the Extended After-School Programme (EASP) that the YMCA operates for government schools across the Cayman Islands.
Doctors receive mental health training
(CNS Local Life): A group of 16 public and private doctors attended special training focused on mental health for primary care physicians on Saturday and Sunday, 1-2 December. The Ministry of Health organised the workshop, which is part of international training initiative, the Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP).
