Water Authority advisory
Water Authority – Cayman would like to urge all customers to complete all necessary storm preparations and seek shelter as soon as possible. Customers are reminded that the Authority’s offices are closed today (Monday 5 October); however, customers can still utilize our online payment platform via our website, www.waterauthority.ky.
Elgin Avenue infrastructure upgrade
The Water Authority will be carrying out works to upgrade the water supply infrastructure along Elgin Avenue on Sunday, 12 July between 4:00 am – 12:00 pm. Customers along Elgin Avenue, between Cricket Square and the Hospital Road intersection, and portions of Claude Hill Road will experience water service outage.
WA waives penalty fees for month of May
To further assist customers facing financial hardship during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Water Authority-Cayman will waive penalty fees for May 2020. This is in addition to waived penalty fees for the months of March and April 2020.
Water Authority offers wastewater discount
Recognising that many businesses have been affected by the pandemic the Water Authority continues to seek ways in which it can support the business community during this difficult time.
Fake news alert
Water Authority-Cayman is aware of a false message claiming that the water supply will be shut off due to contamination. This is completely untrue. The Authority’s water supply has not been compromised, and undergoes daily quality control testing to ensure its safety. The public is urged not to open this message or click on the […]
Leak Detection – Shamrock Road
Water Authority – Cayman will be conducting leak detection work along Shamrock Rock, between Poindexter Rd and Spotts Newlands Rd, from 11:00pm, Tuesday 11 February – 5:00am, Wednesday 12 February. Customers who live in the area may experience service interruption during this period.
WA asks customers to report sewage issues
Water Authority customers are advised to call its emergency line 946-HELP (946-4357), to report any wastewater issue along the West Bay Beach Sewerage System. Members of the public with septic tanks or onsite wastewater systems are advised to contact their sewerage specialist to inspect their systems for any damages and necessary repairs.
