Youth Parliamentarians debate abortion and public transport
(CNS): More than 20 students from Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman participated in two debates during the ninth Youth Parliament held Monday, 14 March, to commemorate Commonwealth Day. The topics they chose to discuss were legalising abortion and the establishment of a master public-transportation system.
Legislative Assembly prepared for ‘takeover’
(CNS): Cayman Islands’ youth are poised to take over the Legislative Assembly. Students from nine local educational institutions are preparing for the ninth annual Youth Parliament, sponsored by law firm Harneys. The event is scheduled for Commonwealth Day, Monday, 14 March from 10:30am.
