Heart charity to celebrate survivors
(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Heart Fund is installing a heart-survivors wall display at the Cayman Islands Hospital. The display, dedicated to survivors and the fund’s mission to reduce the risk of heart disease through raising awareness of cardiovascular disease and its effects, will be located on the main floor of the hospital near the Ambulatory Unit, with the official unveiling set for World Heart Day, Friday, 29 September.
World Heart Day is part of an international campaign to spread awareness about heart disease and stroke prevention. The Cayman Heart Fund, in a press release, said it hopes to save lives with the wall display by bringing important attention to the heart survivors and offering lifesaving facts and information.
Heart survivor nominations are accepted throughout the year. A special committee will review all applications and a selection with be made based on its recommendations. To nominate a heart survivor and share an inspirational story, go to the Cayman Heart Fund website.
