(PFL): The second round of the 2016/2017 CUC Primary Football League (PFL) and Girls’ Primary Football League (GPFL) playoffs, held Saturday, 10 December at the Annex Field, had everything a true football supporter could wish for – plenty of goals, fantastic finishes, great saves, painful misses, botched penalties, great team play and sparkling individual performances.
Students spell their way to the top
(CNS Local Life): John Gray High School student Toni-Ann Daley has been crowned champion of the 33rd annual Lion’s Club of Grand Cayman Secondary Spelling Bee Competition. Christon Asa Ferguson from Creek & Spot Bay Primary School in Cayman Brac took top honours in the RBC Royal Bank 19th annual Primary Spelling Bee Competition.
Careers fair draws hundreds of students
(CNS Local Life): More than 500 students visited the recent second annual Cayman Academy careers fair, held at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI). Among the displays at the fair, at which 35 public and private entities exhibited, were robotics, drones, test tubes illustrating medical blood work, drug-sniffing dogs, and weather information-gathering tools.

(PFL): The first round of the 2016/2017 CUC Primary Football League (PFL) and Girls’ Primary Football League (PFL) playoffs concluded Saturday, 3 December at the Annex Field with a number of thrilling match-ups. The run to the championships in both leagues continues with second round games scheduled for 10 December, also at the Annex.
