Postal office closures for tropical storm
All post offices closed at 11am this morning, Monday, 5 October, and remain closed until the All Clear is issued for Tropical Storm Delta.
Post office extended hours, reopenings updated
The Postal Service states that as of Monday 24, August, the Seven Mile Beach Post Office and Philatelic Bureau have reopened with timings as follows until further notice: Mondays – Thursdays 9am – 4pm and Fridays: 9am – 4:30pm.
George Town Post Office reopening
The General Post Office located in downtown George Town will reopen its counters for customer service on Tuesday, 11 August, from 9am – 3pm, Tuesday through Friday. Additionally, the Cayman Islands Postal Service will be accepting up to 24 August all mail destined for Jamaica.
New ways to submit and pay for services at DG’s office
The Office of the Deputy Governor (ODG) has made it easier for customers to submit applications and pay for services provided by the Office. Applicants for British Overseas Territories Citizenship (BOTC) Naturalisation/Registration, British Registration, and the expungement of criminal records can submit applications via email.
Postal Service offers extended service
The Cayman Islands Postal Service is extending its Grand Cayman open days as of next week. Effective Tuesday, 23 June 2020, three post offices will offer extended hours. They are:
Postal Service current collection hours
This week the Airport, West End and Little Cayman Post Offices are open: Wednesdays (for persons with surnames and businesses with names starting with A-K), Thursdays (for persons with surnames and businesses with names starting with L-Z).
CIPS ready for limited re-opening
The Cayman Islands Postal Service (CIPS) is gearing up to re-open to the public on a limited basis this week. Beginning Wednesday, 29 April, government will re-open a single post office on each island for two days a week. The post offices that will reopen are as follows:
