Governor hosts Honouring Women Month reception
(CNS Local Life): This year’s Honouring Women Month activities were celebrated with a final event at Government House to recognise all those who had supported the annual March initiative. The Family Resource Centre (FRC) marked the month-long observance by organising a variety of awareness-raising events to promote gender equality.
Governor Martyn Roper and his wife, Elisabeth, hosted the reception, which was held Tuesday, 2 April.
The theme for this year’s Honouring Women Month, the 20th anniversary of the observance in Cayman, was “#BalanceForBetter”. Among the 20 events that the FRC held throughout March were a yoga session, a luncheon with guest speakers and a panel discussion, the Colour Me Purple 5K walk/run, an art therapy session and an employability workshop.
