Flu Shots Available
The 2019/2020 Seasonal Flu shots are now available. All flu shots are given on a first come first serve basis and are only available until supplies last at no cost to all residents. The locations and times are listed below:
Remembrance Sunday ceremonies
The annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony in Grand Cayman will be held at the Cenotaph outside Elmslie Memorial United Church in George Town on Sunday, 10 November. The Cayman Brac ceremony will run simultaneously and will take place in front of the War Memorial Cenotaph in Stake Bay.

Parts of WORC moving to new location
The Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) says that, effective Monday, 28 October, the services offered at Midtown Plaza will be moving to Apollo House West, the building formerly known as Walkers House, located at #87 Mary Street, George Town.
DCI counter opening late
The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) counter will open at 10am on Monday, 7 October, in order to facilitate a staff meeting. DCI staff apologises for any inconvenience the late opening may cause.

Garbage collection schedule
The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is working to catch up with its residential collections schedule following mechanical issues with collections vehicles last week. As a result this week (1- 5 October 2019) collections across Grand Cayman will take place one day later than scheduled, as follows:
Road closure for DG’s 5K
The annual DG’s 5K Challenge is taking place this Sunday, 29 September. In order to facilitate this event, Elgin Avenue, between Hospital Road and the former Humber Lane, will be closed from 6:00pm on Saturday, 28 September, until 12:00pm on Sunday, 29 September.
Botanic Park closes for upcoming green iguana cull
The Tourism Attraction Board and the management of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park would like to inform the public that its facility will be closed to the public on Wednesday 2 October. The closure is to facilitate green iguana culling operations in the area. The park’s operations will be closed for the entire day.
CUC scheduled outage
CUC customers on Fountain Road in West Bay will experience interruptions to their electrical service on Friday, 20 September between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Cullers reminded of responsibilities
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service and Department of Environment are issuing a reminder to registered iguana cullers and members of the public regarding the requirements and responsibilities of iguana cullers participating in the DoE’s ongoing Green Iguana Cull.
DVDL Offices closed on 18 September
The Department of Vehicle and Drivers’ Licensing (DVDL) offices will be closed on Wednesday, 18 September, to facilitate a staff meeting, training and team building exercises. All DVDL offices will resume business as usual on Thursday, 19 September.

Due to a serious collision on Sea View Road, East End, the police are currently diverting traffic through Frank Sound Road to enter East End
Road Closure for Laying in State of John McLean
On Monday, 9 September, Fort Street will be closed between Harbour Drive and the junction with Edward Street (Clock Tower) in order to facilitate the Laying in State of the late John McLean, MLA. The closure will take place from 7:45am to 8:30am and again from 3:15pm to 4:00pm.
UPS customers may experience delays
The Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) would like to inform customers of UPS who may be experiencing delays with receiving their imported goods that the delays are not caused by CBC. They are the result of a private commercial issue between two local on-island agents that provide services for UPS.
Timing of Flag Lowering for John McLean
The Protocol Office requests individuals, businesses and organisations, who wish to lower their flags to half-mast ahead of the funeral of the late John McLean, MLA, to do so at 9.05am on Monday, 9 September.
Seafarers Association Sept Social
The Cayman Islands Seafarers Association reminds all members that the September Social will take place on Tuesday 17 September at 7:00pm in the Seafarer’s Hall, 11 Victory Ave, Prospect. It is expected that all will wear their CISA shirts.
