CAL Sister Islands flights reduced to once-weekly

CAL ticket offices now closed due to curfew
Due to the national “Shelter In Place” soft curfew currently imposed by the Cayman Islands Government, all Cayman Airways Ticket Offices are temporarily closed until further notice. Customers are asked to make any new bookings online on the Cayman Airways website.

CI Public Library Service provides e-books
Further to the closure of all Cayman Islands Public Libraries due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Cayman Islands Public Library Service (CIPLS) announces an online eBook service to assist with educational and recreational reading. Accordingly, the CIPLS will provide library members and non-members of all ages, with access to over 33,000 eBooks and journals.
Changes to external exams due to COVID-19
The Department of Education Services (DES) has announced a number of changes made to external examinations scheduled for this year for secondary-level students. While the City and Guilds examinations currently remain on schedule, examinations previously scheduled by Cambridge, AQA, WJEC and Pearson are all cancelled, as indicated by their respective boards.
Supermarket hours
Grocery stores and supermarkets will re-open on Saturday, 28 March, in line with the “soft curfew” hours of 5am to 7pm. The hard curfew hours of 7pm to 5am will remain for the next ten days. Non-essential persons flouting the curfew will be punished to the full extent of the Police Law.

Cayman Water Office Closure
In light of the recent developments regarding the management of the spread of COVID-19 in the Island, Cayman Water Company continues to do its part to help prevent its spread. The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) advises the public that the business licensing counter and the Grand Cayman Office is closed to the public until further notice. Applications for trade and business licences can be submitted online via the DCI website here.
DVDL closed to public, online services available
The Department of Vehicle and Driver’s Licensing is closed to the public until further notice. Online services are available to renew vehicle and driver’s licence via the DVDL website or through the e-services portal.
